Fees

The secured creditor and a searcher shall pay fees pursuant to Article 24(1) of the Proclamation.

• Banks and Capital Goods Leasing Companies shall pay:
  o Birr 100 for registration of an initial notice;
  o Birr 50 for registration of an amendment (renewal) notice


• Micro Finance Institutions shall pay:
  o Birr 50 for registration of an initial notice;
  o Birr 30 for registration of an amendment (renewal) notice.


• All other persons, such as non-consensual creditors and suppliers, shall pay:
  o Birr 200 for registration of an initial notice;
  o Birr 100 for registration of an amendment (renewal) notice.


• Any person who wants to get a Signed copy certificate for a search shall pay Birr 30.


• The following services of the Collateral Registry shall be available free of charge:
  o Registration of an initial notice relating to a prior security right pursuant to Article 92 of the Proclamation;
  o Registration of a cancellation notice; and
  o Searches without printed certificate.
